American home of the mad?

Has america become to angry? Are we turning into the anti-society? We live in a place where the slightest look can get you killed. Where guns have fan clubs. Where parking your car is a battle to the death. Have you ever wondered what life would be like if everything was honkey-doory? Today in the car coming home from the tutor's house. Linda and Natasha were bad mouthing linda's co-worker who is a bipolar. I mean come on the women can't help it! is the teasing and rudeness really nessacry? I find that Americans have a notition in there mind that if your nice an happy then life won't take you far. We belive that to make it to the top we have to be aggressive show, that we can compete with the compitition. We make everything either a race or a bet. Even by doing homework we are betting to see who can write the best sentences and the best words to get the best grades. When we go to watch a sports game we bet against the other team by routing for one side an not the other. When did life become all about winning?

Even: is a young women, everything is her against the friggin world. get over yourself!! i mean your in your 20's it;s time to step up to the palte.

Laurie:Have you ever heard of an 18 year old who doesn't do anything...what so ever. Yes the typical teenager. But i swear Laurie is different. today she asked me to MAKE her food. Seriously.

Natasha: She only ever talks about what Laurie is doing wrong. That annoying as hell....

Linda: She might just be the only sane on besides me left.

Studying a waste of time or a helpful tool?

So today i was sitting on my bed trying to study for an upcoming history test. As i was reading the packets making flash cards and memorizing key words, i started to think... was this really necessary? Was all the hours of labor and eye muscles worth a 20 minute test. I mean come on, couldn't we have open test. Then it would be like preparing not memorizing and all that other stuff. I would rather show what i have learned, then show what I have memorized.
